It is a mine of information - hints on domestic economy, marketing, methods of cookery with recipes, sections on pickling, preserving, drying and candying, making wines and cordial-waters, nourishment for the sick and "necessary articles for seafaring persons". At rear is a catalogue of garden stuffs, poultry and fish in season in the different months of the year. An important book.
